Double Consonants – How it is composed
- By doubling the basic consonants (ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅅ, ㅈ), it makes double consonants (ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅆ, ㅉ).

Double Consonants – Let’s Read
- When you see a double consonant, what you need to do is make it stronger. You need to do double the sounds up. Please tense up your tongue and pronounce the sounds with more force. So, it is also called ‘tense’ double consonants.
- ㄲ is littler higher in pitch and more explosive than ㄱ and no aspirated (no air blown).
- Each tense double consonant soundㄲ /kk/ as in skill, ㄸ /dd/, ㅃ /pp/ as in speak, ㅆ /ss/ as in seed, ㅉ /jj/
